How did Chat, Chew & Chocolate get started:

Who knew that 14 ladies sipping wine and having a girls night could grow into a inspirational events company with thousands of members!? Chat, Chew and Chocolate started out as a simple outlet for "inspirational girl time" created for her clients led by Dena Patton, a life coach and speaker on women's topics. Dena spent most of her twenties in NYC as an entrepreneur in marketing and publishing working 16+ hours a day. But it wasn't until after a minor stroke at age 26 that she realized the Superwoman lifestyle almost killed her. The first thing she changed was her career. It was through her recovery she found life coaching and was inspired to train as a life and business coach. The second was to take her doctors advice and surround herself with fabulous, positive women who were helpful, healthy, and inspiring (ditch the negativity and drama in your life it might save your life too)! Dena hosted the first "CCC" event in her friend's spa as a one-time gathering in 2001, however it wasn't "reborn" until 2004 after she moved back to Phoenix, Arizona. With help from a couple of friends they threw the first 'official' CCC event with 57 women and it was a smashing success. It was a fun 'hobby' for a long while until they could figure out the business model for growth. Today there's 14 national chapters (50 by Summer 2010) and 7500+ women who are a part of CCC worldwide, online and offline. Our goals are simple, make a difference for women, one woman at a time. We now inspire and empower busy women worldwide through our five point platform! However, you can not gather fabulous women without making a difference for communities at large. One of our core values is Social Responsibility so giving back to our communities is an important part of CCC. We give back through our chapters (local book drives, local cancer walks, etc) and through our charity (The Girls Rule Foundation).

Chat, Chew & Chocolate LLC is all about providing fun, friendship and inspiration for busy Superwomen. As Oprah says, "we put ourselves last on our list"! We all know the possible results of the "Superwoman Syndrome", for example: burn out, stress, feeling unhappy, divorce, meltdowns, being unfulfilled and maybe even heart disease or death. That is why Chat, Chew & Chocolate wants to be thee brand that is known for making a cultural difference in millions of women's lives. Add some 'Me Time' to your to-do list today!

Everything we do is ageless and roleless! So whether you are a twenty-something who is in your first real job or a new mom or a mother of 4 or a business owner or a stay at home mom or a been-there-done-that retiree, It doesn't matter. We are all fabulous Superwomen and CCC is passionate about connecting fabulous women to each other, in addition to being a consistent reminder to take Me Time!
