The most important question is WHY is the cholesterol too high— Rather than: What can be taken to lower the cholesterol—

If your cholesterol is indeed too high, then the problem is not the cholesterol, as the body has raised its levels in order to play some type of ESSENTIAL role(s) for your survival. The problem(s) is the stressor(s) that originally caused the cholesterol to rise abnormally in the first place.

Stress is one of the major causes of increased cholesterol. As stated above, stress comes in many forms: emotional, electromagnetic, biochemical or physical stress. Your cholesterol may be high for a very good reason(s), and this reason(s) may make it dangerous to tamper with via drugs. The key is to rebalance the system(s) that are operating under excessively stressful conditions to allow the body to lower its cholesterol on its own.

What to do:

Consume plenty of organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed beef and free-range poultry.

Decrease the amount of grains and garbage foods (which are Omega 6 Fatty Acids and can cause inflammation in excess = increased cholesterol).

Drink enough water. Bodyweight x .7 = the number of daily ounces to be consumed Turn the lights out by 10pm.

Eat more good quality fats (raw butter, coconut oil, avocados, extra virgin olive oil, ghee, wild salmon)

Identify what you feel stressed about

Implement one change at a time. Gradual, consistent progress over time.

Obtain lab testing from your physician to see where there may be hidden inflammation. (C-reactive protein and homocysteine) CRP is a biomarker for systemic inflammation and a confirmed risk factor for cardiovascular disease. An elevated homocysteine level is a risk factor for Alzheimer's Disease.

Reduce the amount of stress in your life by adding in daily meditation and create time for yourself to relax every day.

Take daily Cod Liver Oil or omega 3 fish oil: 4000-6000mg per day

Turn the television and computer off by 8pm.
