Have you ever been at a
party where someone is telling ethnic jokes?
Did you feel a need to laugh even though you didn't find the jokes
funny? If you find yourself in this
situation again, refrain from laughing.
You should feel no need to laugh or support such a display of poor
taste. In fact, you have every right to
say you can't support that sort of humor.
And if the jokes are directed to a person or people who are within ear
shot, try to change the conversation to avoid embarrassment. If all else fails, leave the conversation and
find a group of people who are more civilized.
