What is the
difference between selfish and centered in self? A LOT!
The theme for February 2011 has been Listening to Your Heart and a lot of women have responded in a
variety of ways:
1. I'm too busy I can't hear my heart
2. What is the difference between listening to my heart and being selfish
3.
When I listen to my heart I usually end up with a broken heart
So
I just wanted to give you my perspective on listening to your heart, your
values, your boundaries, your greatness, and your God (In coaching I call that "our center"). As women, this is one of the greatest gifts God gave us,
but for many of us we are too busy to even use it or know how to use it.
What would be possible if every choice you made was powerful, aligned to your
authentic self, came from your greatness and honored your greatest potential?
What if you learned how to listen to your heart and honor your intuition? What
if you used your time in a way that furthered your greatness verses kept you
stuck in "the ol' smallness voice" that tells you 'you can't'.
Living a life that is centered in self is about creating a foundation that is built around your center (your values, your greatness, your boundaries, your
God, your heart) and then you
build your life FROM there which will lead you to a life you LOVE and God honoring. Why do I
know this? Because, when you know your center (your values, your greatness,
your boundaries, your God, your heart) and build that as a foundation then build your life on top of
that [making sure that everything in your life is a self-expression
(reflection) of the foundation] then your life becomes a mirror of your
foundation, and your foundation is an authentic, reflection of you and God. By
living this way you are conscience of the choices you are making and you tap
into your power, talents, gifts and heart in HUGE ways. So, start listening to your heart
and practice building your foundation....that is the start to building a life
you love! Also, when you have a life that is Centered in Self then it's easier to make a difference for others because it's not all about you. Verses when you are living a life that is Self Centered life is all about you.
