These popular plants are always a hit: Amaryllis, Paper Whites, Crocus, and Hyacinth can be forced to grow in a bowl. Buy them now at nurseries near you. Store bulbs in a paper bag in the refrigerator for 6 weeks. Plant them in a pretty bowl from the thrift shop early December and set them in a sunny window. They will begin peeking out of the soil just in time for gift giving!
