If you're looking for a stylist, here are a few tips to help you find the perfect one for you!

1. You can find stylists by researching on the internet and asking friends and salespeople at boutiques for referrals.

2. Most stylists charge by the hour, fees vary widely, from $85 an hour to thousands of dollars a day.

3. Ask about the services they provide - most will help you weed out your closet, take you shopping, and help you mix-and-match your new items with the clothes in your closet.

4. If possible, get a verbal or email referral from one of their clients after speaking with them and reading some of their client testimonials.

5. Choose someone whose personal style and personality you like. It's an intimate process, liking the person who's helping you is key.

6. If you're just looking for a few items or for a special occasion outfit, take advantage of free personal shopping services at department stores.
