My rule of thumb on this one is: if you looked good wearing a trend the first round, there's a pretty slim chance you're going to look good wearing it the second (I, for example, will not be wearing tight-rolled jeans this time around). I learned this the hard way the other day when I was trying on jewelry at Forever 21 (because I am just that classy) and realized I was wearing the same headband as a girl 15 years younger than me. She looked irreverent; I ... did not. Lesson learned - only shop Forever 21 during the day when all of the kids are in school.
