Now I'm not saying that you need to run out and buy yourself some elasticized pants; you can look fantastic while dressing age-appropriately (think Jamie Lee Curtis and Helen Mirren). A good rule of thumb as you get older is to lean towards classic rather than trendy. So you would wear cigarette-style pants rather than skinny jeans. You're still on style with a more fitted look but giving the trend a bit of ... room.
