The answer to this question is a resounding YES! Each gift you receive should be acknowledged with a handwritten note - not an email or a telephone call or a chance meeting on the street. It should be written no longer than two weeks after receipt of the gift. Thank you notes do not have to be extravagant - a simple acknowledgement about the gift and what you will be using it for will suffice. Start your children writing Christmas thank you notes now and you will have very happy grandmas and grandpas!
