Every wardrobe needs a few "investment" pieces - pieces that you spend a bit more on but can wear for several seasons; For the winter season, it's typically boots and coats. Now, buying a nice pair of boots or an expensive jacket can break the bank at the start of the season, which is why, savvy shopper that you are, you're only now getting ready to purchase.

Because it is Sale Central out there. Stores are looking to move their winter clothes and make room for their spring lines, so there are huge discounts going on. Yesterday I found boots and coats marked down up to 60% off. Steve Madden actually has a sale going on where if you buy one pair, you get the second pair 90% off. They're practically free!
