Is it possible to retrain yourself to lessen the negativity and drama in your life? YES! If you are living with negativity or drama in your life please know that you can transform your life, your behaviors and your environments to be more supportive, loving and positive. It takes a strong willingness to make some hard choices and be accountable for your life (which is never easy in these situations!). But if you are living with negativity and drama it's probably because you have made some choices that landed you where you are. SO, the quicker you take accountability for those original choices the quicker you can heal/mend and move on to create more JOY, love and fun in your life.

Some of the most common reasons we end up in negativity or drama are:
-you compromised/broke your boundaries
-you didn't have boundaries
-others didn't understand your boundaries
-you are a yes person (don't want to ruffle feathers) so you live with it
-you allowed bad behavior to continue instead of dealing with the problem
-you allowed bad behavior to continue instead of dealing with the problem
-you picked that person to be in your life when they weren't a fit
-you ignored red flags (your intuition)
-you were 'addicted' to that bad situation for whatever reason
-you felt you couldn't change anything so you lived with it
Here are some quick exercises you can do:
1. Think of three things you are tolerating/compromising on that are causing negativity/drama-write them down
2. Think about the original choice that led to those three things (list above)
3. Be accountable for your part in it, and forgive yourself, then be willing to change
4. Take one at a time and brainstorm the solutions that can change that situation
4. Take one at a time and brainstorm the solutions that can change that situation
5. Have the courage and self-discipline to make the change
6. Ask a buddy to help you through the transition (we don't have to do everything by ourselves)
Some inspirational quotes from Zig Zilar-
"I've got to say NO to the good, so there's room to say YES to the GREAT"
"You must manage yourself before you can lead someone else"
"It's not the situation, but whether we react (negative) or respond (positive) to the situation that's important"
