2009 was the most unbelievable, surreal, blow-my-mind, emotional rollercoaster of my life. I grew as a person, as a leader, as a wife/mother, and as a daughter. This year was one of those years where you know you are alive! I experienced myself in new ways that I never had before, kinda like when you work out with muscles you never knew you had and you are triple the sourness! My heart ached like it never has before from losing my Mom and dear friend Laura, but it also has never experienced love like it has with raising my baby, Alexandra. I am so thankful for this year and all of it's ups and downs, but I am looking forward to a new 2010. One thing that I'm leaving 2009 with are my boundaries intact! I really had to practice good boundaries this year to stay as balanced as I could through all the ups and downs. I truly learned that the bigger my life becomes the bigger my boundaries have to become. Looking at my 2010 vision (below) I realize that it's going to take even more willpower (AKA Integrity) around my boundaries to achieve such big goals. Integrity (do what you say you are going to do) is actually the 'thing' that gets in most peoples way when it comes to boundaries AND when it comes to goals. Most people think its the goals that are hard, but actually it's integrity and holding yourself to your word that gets hard. So I challenge you to think about that as you create your 2010 goals. We are only 31 days away from a new year so I encourage you to start off 2010 with clarity, purpose, and love, and of course boundaries and integrity. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
My vision for my 2010:
-living my
path and speaking my truth at all moments
-being unstoppable and creative in all that I do
-passionate
and loving wife and mother
-walk my walk as a Christian
-maintaining my health and fitness
-be an effective and compassionate leader and role model
-regaining my passion and spirit in all that I do
-creating
a peaceful, loving and fun home/lifestyle
-pursuing
my love of photography and ballroom dancing
-open my
receiving-ness to the universe providing miracles
-continue to work only 3 days per week
-continue having fun with friends/family (BBQ, dinners, girls days)
-travel often(1 week 3-4 times per year)
