Knowing what makes you - uniquely You - is an important part of the self discovery process. It's a special piece of Finding Your Purpose and the discovery process will bring out a little creativity in you. So have fun with this!

Begin by creating a really great Environment, one that makes you feel relaxed, comfortable, and peaceful ... even happy! Next, pull out your notes from the past 5 parts of this Finding Your Purpose series and incorporate some of the great and simple ideas you had for your ideal Environment and settle in for some creative self reflection.

Oh yea, and VERY IMPORTANT ... get some colored markers or crayons (the smelly markers are my favorite!) and some blank white paper. If you have some big white paper, like flip chart paper that you can tape on the wall that is fun too. Ok, now you are ready.

Take some time and in the following order, read through what you wrote over the past 5 months. As you read through what you wrote, imagine yourself actually experiencing the positive feelings and emotions that each evokes. Put yourself in Your Unique and Ideal Experience.

1. My ideal Environment looks, sounds, and feels like ...

2. The things I do naturally and really well are ...

3. The things that are possible for me inspire me and I feel ...

4. The Beliefs I have that support me feeling strong, capable, and happy are ...

5. My highest Values and where I choose to spend my time, energy, and resources are ...

Do you feel all of this? Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a dial in front of you. Turn the dial to the right ... intensify Your Unique Ideal Experience - make it louder, brighter, more intense, more positive, more fulfilling ... turn it up even further, further! Are you there? Can you really feel it?

Great! Pull out a sheet of paper and write every response you can think of to the following statement:

With all of this, I am a person who ...

Done? Ok, now pull out your markers or crayons and your blank paper and draw - yes DRAW! - a symbol that represents your Unique Identity. No one else will see it, so just tell the inner voice that says, 'I can't draw' to be quiet and draw anyway.

Are you done? Are you smiling? How do you feel?

Just enjoy this and I'll be back next month with another step of the Finding Your Purpose discovery process.

Every human being is intended to have a character of their own: to be what no other is, and to do what no other can do.
