S.O.S. - Sequins or Shine!
The Holiday's are fast approaching and so are the decisions that come with the Holiday Season ... No, not what are we having for dinner or how many gifts to buy ... But, what in the world am I going to wear to that "Holiday Party!!?"
Well, this year it's all about S.O.S. (sequins or shine) and the choices range from head to toe! Everything from pants in beautiful bronze fabrics, matte silver sheath dresses, sequined stiletto's, beaded tank tops to blouses that sparkle (and seem to glow in the dark) will be worn by celebrities this Holiday season!
Lately, celebrities like Nicole Richie and Alecia Keys have turned up in shimmering, long, silver silhouettes while Jennifer Aniston and Beyonce were spotted in sequin tank tops and shiny patent leather stilettos!
Ladies, this holiday season ... let your light shine!
NOTE: This is not your "mother's" sequins and haunts of "gold lame" pasts ... This trend has movement, modern simplicity and an air of sexiness!

Tip: Black grounds everything and adds an air of sophistication, cool and ease to almost any piece of S.O.S. Don't do S.O.S. from head to toe - find the piece that speaks to "Who you are" and go for it ...
Tip: S.O.S. (sequins or shine) will attract more light and attention, making that body part a focal point - so place S.O.S. on your favorite body part!!
Note: If you love your "lips" (more than any other body part) then add some S.O.S. to your lips with a shiny, glittering lip-gloss.
Try one of these ideas on for size ...
The Office Party - While you don't want to look like you could still be at your desk or in your office, you also don't want them to think you're headed to the club! Pair a great pair of wide leg, black trousers with a simple sequin tank top, cardigan or fitted beautiful blouse ... Top it off with a big fabulous ring (that just happened to be sitting in your desk drawer) and toast the night away!
The Cocktail Party - Go for a bronze or matte silver sheath, which is, the new "gold" lame! Sheaths have simple lines, modern shapes, are subtly sexy and speak to various age groups. Keep the look grounded with black strappy sandals and an ultra small black clutch.
The "Neighbor's" Party - A perfect time to show your neighbors you own more than sweats - so take it up a notch! Keep your S.O.S. isolated to the top or lower half of your body - not both - to keep your look casual but festive! If you love your upper body, shine in a loose fitting beaded tunic or blouse with a black pencil skirt or flared skirt and boots. This also works well with black jeans and heels. If your best assets (no pun intended!) take place from the waist down; try a wide shiny patent leather belt over a simple black dress or shake things up, in a sequined pencil skirt paired with a simple black v-neck or crewneck t-shirt and pumps. Yeah, it's your neighbor's house - but it's a party!
