And the Winner of the LOVE/AVON ARMY OF WOMEN PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT CONTEST IS ...
Earlier this year, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation had a remarkable idea: yhey creates a contest that gave film students from the USC School of Cinematic Arts and New York University's Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television the opportunity to propose their ideas for a Public Service Announcement (PSA) video that would encourage one million women of all ages and ethnicities from across the nation to sign up and be part of the Army of Women movement.
They received more than 25 submissions for the contest, and they were incredibly impressed by the passion the students showed for our work and our mission to move breast cancer beyond a cure.First after much debate and discussion, the four finalists were selected, who each received a $5,000 budget to create a PSA video.
Then Glamour magazine hosted an online contest at www.glamour.com. Agter a week of heavy voting, the wibbinbg PSA was chosen which will air on Lifetime Television for Women during Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout the month October.
Thanks a million to all who work to prevent breast cancer. And congratulations to the winners!
